The hiking paradise Steinplatte not only invites you to take leisurely walks, but also demanding summiteers get their money's worth. The high plateau offers a multitude of different hiking trails in every level of difficulty - so there is something for everyone who wants to enjoy the fantastic mountain landscape. Arrived at the summit of the Steinplatte you can enjoy a unique view of the Kitzbühel Alps.
The 150 m high, almost vertical steep walls of the Waidringer Steinplatte are not for the faint of heart. The Steinplatte is the only dry reef in Europe and attentive via ferrata climbers can discover fossilized snails and plants from the Tria period on their way. There are easy climbing opportunities for children in the Triassic Park, where they can even touch the prehistoric reptiles.
If you want to climb the S’Schuasta Gangl, you have to have a head for heights. You should only be an experienced climber with suitable climbing equipment here - there is also an easier variant of this trail. The Wieslochsteig is suitable for first attempts at climbing and families.
