The 150 m high, almost vertical steep walls of the Waidringer Steinplatte are not for the faint of heart. The Steinplatte is the only dry reef in Europe and attentive via ferrata climbers can discover fossilized snails and plants from the Tria period on their way. There are easy climbing opportunities for children in the Triassic Park, where they can even touch the prehistoric reptiles.
If you want to climb the S’Schuasta Gangl, you have to have a head for heights. You should only be an experienced climber with suitable climbing equipment here - there is also an easier variant of this trail. The Wieslochsteig is suitable for first attempts at climbing and families.
In Waidring you will not only find wonderful bike paths in the valley, such as the Steinrunde, which leads you through the entire Pillerseetal and the Salzburg Saalachtal, but also mountain bike tours of various degrees of difficulty on the Steinplatte.
